How to care for your Pastel Artwork

Pastel paintings need to be framed behind glass. When a pastel painting remains unframed it is very delicate, similar to wet paint. If you touch it the pastel will come off and you will smudge the artwork. Therefore it is best to frame the pastel painting behind glass as soon as possible to protect it and avoid any accidental smudges. When properly framed your piece of pastel artwork will last for a lifetime. If you have chosen to frame your artwork yourself please ensure the glass is UV protected to protect from sunlight. In the meantime be sure to store any unframed pastel art flat with sheets of glassine paper to prevent smudging until you find your desired frame. Placement Always avoid placing pastel artwork in direct sunlight. The heat from the sun can create humidity behind glass, which can in turn cause moisture damage.

How to care for your Resin Artwork/Homeware

Resin is a very durable substance, and doesnt require a lot of maintenance. If you have purchased any resin homeware it will be stated whether or not the piece is foodsafe or heat resistant. To clean simply wipe down with mild dish soap or any non-abrasive household cleaners. If you have purchased resin artwork be sure not to place in direct sunlight as this will effect the lightfastness of the piece.
